Why painting is different in Boston
Boston's buildings are old. Brick rowhouses, wood triple-deckers and two-family houses make up most of the city, and most were built long before 1978. Inside you find plaster, tall ceilings and layered woodwork. Outside you find clapboard and shingles carrying many coats of paint. Prep takes longer here than in a newer city, and it is the part of the job that decides how long the paint lasts.

On the job we cover floors and furniture, repair and prime the surfaces, apply two coats, clean up and walk through the finished work with you.
